Visiting at SCCI is scheduled on weekends and holidays. Visiting hours are listed below. Special visits may be allowed, but they must be approved in advance by the Institution Security Manager and arranged through the inmate´s Counselor. Advance scheduling or notification to the institution that you will be attending a regular visiting session is not required.
To visit an inmate, the visitor must first be on that inmate´s approved visiting list for privileged visiting (basic visiting is not offered at SCCI). If a visitor has already been approved at one institution for privileged visiting, they need not gain further approval when the inmate is transferred to SCCI, unless they are requesting a visit which requires "special visiting" approval. All requests for additions to an inmate´s visiting list must be approved by the inmate. The inmate will notify you when you have been placed on his approved visiting list. You must wait for this notification form the inmate prior to a visit, since the clearance process may take up to 30 days from when the application is submitted.
