Status Report: Year Two of 10-Year Plan to End Homelessness
Oregon's Ending Homelessness Advisory Council (EHAC) presents a Status Report: Year Two of the state's 10-Year plan to End Homelessness A Home for Hope.

Homelessness continues to rise in many Oregon communities. It shows in the sharp increase of number of people seeking temporary shelters, requesting food and rental assistance. It shows in the larger number of homeless children in the schools, and the number of homeless persons also experiencing addictions and mental health illness.

Ending Homelessness Advisory Council
The State of Oregon has committed to ending chronic homelessness. We believe all people in Oregon should have the opportunity to be at home in their communities and to be physically, emotionally and economically healthy.

The Ending Homelessness Advisory Council (EHAC), created through Executive Order by Governor Ted Kulongoski, has been charged with developing strategies and making recommendations to end and prevent homelessness among Oregon's homeless populations.

EHAC developed the State of Oregon's 10-year plan to end homelessness in 2008 and the Year One Status Report in 2009.

EHAC members meet quarterly and provide support for local efforts to end homelessness, promote best practices and outcome-based services.
