ARRA Home / Weatherization

Overview

The United States Department of Energy-ARRA Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) is designed to reduce energy costs for eligible low-income clients by making their homes more energy efficient and to preserve affordable housing. The program focuses on assisting the elderly, disabled, and low-income families with young children. Energy-efficiency education is also provided for each household receiving weatherization. A DOE approved allocation formula is utilized to determine applicant eligibility. There are currently 226,360 households in the State of Oregon that are eligible.
