Welcome to the 2011 Oregon Housing and Community Services conference web page!

We are looking forward to October 24-25 in Salem, where we will once again gather with our partners and colleagues to examine and celebrate the opportunities and successes we will face – and have faced – together.

Over the past few years we have all been grappling with a changing economy. We've experienced changes to the way we do business, what programs we offer, how we offer them and whom we serve. Yet, throughout the toughest times Oregon has seen in several generations, we have continued to help those in need, thanks to the invaluable dedication and commitment of our partners.

"Better Together: the Power of Partnerships" is an apt theme for the 2011 Housing and Community Services conference. Together, we will explore opportunities to help those in need as we work to effect positive change. We will examine new criteria for administering programs, hear from experts and leaders in the field, and collaboratively learn about ways to better serve those in need.

Conference tracks will follow the continuum of services we offer, from meeting basic needs, such as food and life skills, to offering help finding affordable housing, rental assistance, employment counseling, supportive services to help with family life, such as childcare and household budgeting, and ultimately, homeownership.

Our partners are intimately involved with our work every step along that continuum. We are pleased to gather again with all of our stakeholders to find ways to enrich the lives of Oregonians who depend upon our services.

Early registration is extended to September 30, to receive a discounted rate of $225. Registration after that date will cost $260.
